For centuries, humanity has been hunted by giant, mysterious predators known as the Titans. Three mighty walls—Wall Maria, Rose, and Sheena—provided peace and protection for humanity for over a hundred years. That peace, however, was shattered when the Colossal Titan and Armored Titan appeared and destroyed the outermost wall, Wall Maria. Forced to retreat behind Wall Rose, humanity waited with bated breath for the Titans to reappear and destroy their safe haven once more.
In Shingeki no Kyojin Season 2, Eren Yeager and others of the 104th Training Corps have just begun to become full members of the Survey Corps. As they ready themselves to face the Titans once again, their preparations are interrupted by the invasion of Wall Rose—but all is not as it seems as more mysteries are unraveled. As the Survey Corps races to save the wall, they uncover more about the invading Titans and the dark secrets of their own members.
Shingeki no Kyojin Season 2: Living When Whispers Become Screams
Welcome back, folks! This week I’m reviewing the much-anticipated sequel season to the hit anime “Shingeki no Kyojin” (Attack on Titan, if you’re not familiar with the Japanese title). We have seen the despair and horror of mankind’s struggle against the titans who consume humans in Season 1, leaving us begging for more answers. How did we enter this dystopian world? What’s the bigger picture?
Season 2 not only continues this epic human-versus-titan saga but also delves into the backstories and motivations of our beloved characters, adding new layers to the dense and suspenseful narrative. The premise remains the same: the remnants of civilization are trapped behind massive walls, away from the deadly titans lurking outside. But as tensions mount within the walls, it becomes apocalyptically clear that enemies exist inside as well.
Plot and Character Development
Shingeki no Kyojin Season 2 excels in plot progression and character development. The narratives of characters like Ymir and Reiner are particularly absorbing, revealing conflicting loyalties and driving the plot forward. The haunting tension is constant and beautifully tied together with the anime’s signature epic battles against the titans. Further, the intrigue and mystery surrounding the titans themselves gain depth – an arc that’s appealing and disturbing at the same time, but always keeps you hooked.
Animation and Soundtrack
One cannot speak of Shingeki no Kyojin without mentioning the groundbreaking animation and riveting score. Season 2 holds up to its predecessor in this regard with fluid action sequences, intense character expressions, and atmospheric settings that encapsulate the terror and hope of humanity’s struggle. The soundtrack, of course, is phenomenal. Featuring powerful orchestral pieces and dramatic choral tracks, it ramps up the emotional intensity to an 11!
Final Word
In conclusion, if you enjoyed the first season of Shingeki no Kyojin, the second season is a must-watch. The stellar animation, heart-stopping action, powerful soundtrack, and compelling characters come together to create an unforgettable anime experience. So, should you rent, buy, or stream this anime? The answer is YES to all. Get your hands on it by any means and join in the journey of the titan battle!
Shingeki no Kyojin Season 2 truly embodies the spirit of survival and human determination. That’s it for this review, folks! Keep an eye out for my next anime review post, coming soon. The titans may not wait, but great anime certainly deserves the wait. Keep watching!
