Hailing from America, Jabberwock—a street basketball team with skills comparable to those of the NBA—has come to Japan to play an exhibition match against Strky, a team of former third-year students who once played in the Interhigh and Winter Cup. However, due to the vast difference in skill, Jabberwock easily wins. Their captain, Nash Gold Jr., mocks the basketball style of all players in Japan by comparing them to monkeys.
Infuriated by the nasty comment, Kagetora Aida challenges them to a revenge match. Because of pride and the belief that the results will be no different, Nash accepts the challenge. Kagetora then assembles Vorpal Swords, a team composed of the Generation of Miracles, including Kuroko Tetsuya and Kagami Taiga, for they are the only ones who stand a chance against a foe that seems unbeatable from every angle.

Review:
I will always appreciate how Kuroko no Basket integrates its intense gameplay scenes with a character development depth that keeps the plot fluid, intriguing and resonating with the audience. Last Game, thankfully, carries forward this tradition brilliantly.
The animation in Last Game is simply top tier. Every basketball match sequence fills the screen with an adrenaline-charged aura that leaves one gripping the edge of their seat. The fluid transition, the vivid depiction of the court action, and the high-speed tricks are captured perfectly. The complementary music heightens the impact of these sequences, giving an extravagant, authentic feel to the climactic experience of the sport.
Our characters are as lovable as ever, showcasing a catena of sparkling personalities. The antagonists, Jabberwock, are purposely drawn to be rather unlikable, but as the story progresses, they are seen to bear their own charm and charisma. Kudos to the creator for this level of character polishing!
Finally, the plot. The narrative in this movie is neatly framed, melding intensity with heart-touching moments. It’s a treat to see the erstwhile rivalries melt, watching our heroes from distinct teams unite for a common purpose.
