Kamisama Hajimemashita

Downtrodden and homeless, she runs into a man being harassed by a dog. After helping him, she explains her situation, and to her surprise, he offers her his home in gratitude. But when she discovers that said home is a rundown shrine, she tries to leave; however, she is caught by two shrine spirits and a fox familiar named Tomoe. They mistake her for the man Nanami rescued—the land god of the shrine, Mikage. Realizing that Mikage must have sent her there as a replacement god, Tomoe leaves abruptly, refusing to serve a human.
Rather than going back to being homeless, Nanami immerses herself in her divine duties. But if she must keep things running smoothly, she will need the help of a certain hot-headed fox. In her fumbling attempt to seek out Tomoe, she lands in trouble and ends up sealing a contract with him. Now the two must traverse the path of godhood together as god and familiar; but it will not be easy, for new threats arise in the form of a youkai who wants to devour the girl, a snake that wants to marry her, and Nanami's own unexpected feelings for her new familiar.
Kamisama Hajimemashita: Synopsis
Nanami Momozono, a high school student, finds herself homeless after her father’s debt-ridden lifestyle catches up with him. Through a series of unforeseeable events, she crosses paths with a stranger, who after saving her from a precarious situation, offers her shelter at his “home”. Little does Nanami know that this stranger’s abode is actually a shrine, and accommodating his offer would change her life altogether.
Once there, she receives an unexpected revelation. The stranger has made her a Land God of the shrine. Lost and confused, she meets Tomoe, a standoffish fox demon who serves the shrine. Kamisama Hajimemashita (or Kamisama Kiss) then unfolds, becoming a delightful tale of a supernatural romance, diving into the intriguing world of gods, demons, and their challenging responsibilities and relationships.

The music is equally delightful with the background scores perfectly complementing the story’s tone, and singers like Hanae and Tia giving enchanting performances in the opening and closing themes.
All in all, Kamisama Hajimemashita is a carefully crafted, heartfelt show. If you’re someone who values a good blend of fantasy, humor, and a wholesome love story, trust me, you’re in for a treat.
