The narrative doesn’t shy away from touching sensitive topics, which adds a layer of realism to this fantastical sporting world. If the first two installments dealt with Honda’s growth and early forays into baseball, this season dives into the arena of grit and perseverance needed to navigate the often overwhelming world of professional sport.
Characters
Major S3 triumphs with its characters as well. Every character evolves meaningfully as they face new hurdles and celebrate victories. Honda’s transformation is notable as he hones his skills and personality with every twist and turn. The strong bonding amongst team members also aids in lending the show its pulsating heart, making you root for them even more.
